With less than two weeks away from Christmas, everyone is scrambling around looking for last minute gifts, decorations and groceries for the huge family dinner, etc.

On top of it, you still have to find time to make sure your home is neat and tidy to welcome those family and friends coming over during the holiday weekend.

We want to try and help make things a little easier for you, so we’ve put together a holiday cleaning checklist to help you remember key parts of your home that should be tended to and how to get them done right.

Glassware: Stubborn Mineral Stains

Most glasses have a build up of mineral stains after time and it can be quite hard to get off.

For a quick easy remover try scrubbing them with potato skins.

Floors: Hard Wood

A great way to get those hardwood floors nice and clean without using harsh chemicals is to soak a cloth in some tea and then wash down the floors with the said cloth.

Floors: Laminate

To clean Laminate floors without the use of harsh chemicals, add two tablespoons of baby shampoo to a gallon of water and then mop the laminated area with the shampoo and water solution.

Silverware

With that big holiday dinner coming up you want to make sure your silverware is clean and shiny to impress your visitors.

An easy way to give your silverware an extra shine is by rubbing the inside of a banana peel along the silver accents.

Believe it or not, it has been tested to work great plus it is a great way to avoid the use of harsh silver polishing chemicals.
