A city in Metro Vancouver of British Columbia, Surrey can be found on the lower mainland and is the second largest city, after Vancouver, based on population. Although a growing city with several urban areas, it has maintained a substantial number of rural and agricultural areas.
Often referred to as the “City of Parks”, Surrey has a wide network of parks as well as walkways, greenways, nature trails, and bike routes. It is home to the Green Timbers Urban Forest, the Bear Creek Park with its gardens and playgrounds, and the Crescent Beach with its resplendent shoreline views.
