  1. Fight Scents with Scents:In a saucepan, mix 3 tablespoons of white vinegar with 1 cup of water and let it boil for several minutes. The acid in Vinegar is proven to neutralize the alkaline found in smelly odors.
  2. Clean your Dish Washers Filter:Most people now a days do not wash dishes by hand anymore, they just stick everything into the dishwasher and let it do the job.

Even though it is a great and easy way to clean those dishes there is also a downside to it.The bits and pieces of food that are washed off of the dishes end up in a little filter section located to the bottom of the dishwasher and if you do not clean that filter ever now and then your dishwasher will eventually begin to emit a smelly odor.To clean the filter, use a paper towel to wipe off any food remains that you can get off then run a quick rinse cycle without any items inside of your dishwasher which will help wash away any left over debris.
  3. Clean your Garburator:Even though the Garburator is used to dispose of food scraps, many times bits and pieces of debris remain in the pipes and sometimes even the blades which may cause an odor to emit from your sink.To clean the Garburator blades simply drop a few ice cubes in and grind them up.As for the pipes just run the hot water out of your tap and while running, pour a ½ cup of baking soda down to help clean and neutralize all odors.
