Vinegar is one of the best choices when wanting to do an eco-friendly cleaning.

Unfortunately, Vinegar has that horrible smell that you really would not want your home to smell like after cleaning it.

The easy solution to that problem is a great solution you can make that will make your vinegar solution smell good and still be as effective as ever.

All you will need to make this cleaning solution is the following:

  • Dried up Evergreen Pine needles
  • White Vinegar
  • Glass Jar

Gather up a few dried pine needles that you can find on the floor beneath the evergreen tree, remove the needles and place them into a glass jar.

Fill the jar with white vinegar until all of the needles are covered.

Put the lid back on the jar, make sure it is sealed nice and tight, then put the jar in a dark cupboard to sit for a few weeks.

We recommend to let the needles soak for at least five weeks before using.

After you have let the solution sit for a few weeks, filter the needles out of the vinegar using a colander and you are done.

Use about 1/3 of the vinegar mixed with 2/3 of water for a general cleaning.

* For best results for your vinegar solution, be sure to store it in a cool, dark place when you are not using it.
