Despite the odds and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Life Maid Easy Burnaby’s owner Harni opens a second franchise in Coquitlam.
Twelve years ago, Harni moved to Vancouver from Indonesia to seek greener pastures. She became one of the pioneering members of Life Maid Easy where she started on a journey that is nothing short of inspiring.
Harni started out as an employee before she moved on to become a team lead. She guided and helped a number of men and women like her, who just wanted to make their dreams happen.

With her hard work and determination, Harni climbed to the top of the Life Maid Easy ladder until she opened her very own franchise in Burnaby. However, she didn’t stop there. Now, she adds another franchise to her name and this time, it’s located in Coquitlam.
Just 15 minutes away from Burnaby via Trans-Canada Highway, Coquitlam is a city in British Columbia that was named after the small red salmon that once traversed up the Coquitlam River to lay eggs in Coquitlam Lake. The city with its diverse community is rich in heritage and offers tons of options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. It is also known for its wealth of outdoor adventures like fishing, hiking, trail running, and biking.
The new Life Maid Easy in Coquitlam will cater to the tri-cities, which consist of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody as well as the nearby villages of Belcarra and Anmore. This gives Harni and her cleaning crew new goals to reach and more people to serve.
Although Harni lives in Burnaby and loves exploring the area and even taking walks at the trails of Burnaby Mountain, she is now opening herself to another city where she can discover more good food and great people.
Coquitlam is home to the Minnekhada Regional Park and the Mundy Park as well as the Eagle Mountain and the Burke Mountain. It also has such well-known trails as the Westwood Plateau Trails and the Holy Creek Trail. Different culinary delights can also be found at every corner of its City Centre where Filipino, Japanese, and Vietnamese restaurants can be found along with those offering Middle Eastern cuisine. As a lover of Asian food, the City Centre is right up Harni’s alley for a de-stressing weekend.
