Even though WD-40 was originally created as an industrial solvent to help prevent rust and isn’t used for much more than fixing that squeaking door every once in a while, it has actually been proven to be useful for many other things including cleaning.

  • Spray a little bit of WD-40 on a paper towel and wipe any stainless steel panels such as your fridge door and it instantly removes those bothersome fingerprint stains.
  • If you have ever peeled a sticker off of an item you know that the sticker doesn’t always all come off and then you are stuck scraping the bits and pieces of left over sticker residue with a sharp object which usually ends up scratching your furniture or appliance.Instead of using a sharp object, try spraying a bit of WD-40 on the sticker residue and leave it on to soak into the sticker for a few minutes and you will be able to easily remove the left over bits and pieces only using a piece of paper towel or a rag.
  • WD-40 is also a great way to remove crayon markings from walls, just spray a bit on the marked spots and wipe with a rag.

These are just a few great ways to make use of that old can of WD-40 that has been laying in the tool box for years.
